Inhale Life – You:Create

Last March I started painting.  On Monday Gitz issued a challenge:  Be Creative.  I’d been wanting to paint something recently but the ideas I have swimming will take some planning.

I’ve been also challenged – by GOD – to appreciate life and the gift He has given us in it. (I share more on this tomorrow)

To inhale life is to appreciate those moments – the good and even the bad.  Realizing they are all gifts from God since He has chosen to give us the breath that exists in those moments.

So here is my You:Create:

I’m not sure I’m 100% (or even 80%) happy with it, and new ideas are jumping off the diving board to begin swimming of mashing this into a new You:Create for a different day.  We’ll see.

Pretty! :) I like how “Inhale life” and the flower make me think about leaning down to smell fresh sweet flowers- that’s how we should approach every day.

Thank you all for your lovely comments.

Mary – I find myself wanting to paint but have no idea what to do. And my choosing to paint was kind of freaky to me. I’m not an artist so I had no idea what I was doing. I found though that I enjoyed doing it. I’m not great but I like it and some of the stuff isn’t half bad.

Suzanna – I love that correlation.

Jenny – you know I love you. :)

Inhale life. I love that! And you paint?! How cool!! I have always wished I could paint, but my hands don’t seem to work that way. I love that you have started something new!

    This is lovely. :)

Isn’t it funny how we all see the flaws in our own work where most other people only see the beauty?

I love finding out about these talents I didn’t know people had.

Girl, you are really good at this… I love how free and easy your strokes are. I’m by no means an artist, but isn’t there just something soothing about holding a paintbrush in your hand? Like you have potential in your hand, but you know it’s not your power that’s making something lovely.

You definitely succeeded in the making something lovely part. :)

I think it’s beautiful! And you are inspiring me to get my paintbrushes back out! I’ve painted signs on wood and words and pics on my kids’ walls, but never on canvas. I may take a trip to Hobby Lobby….. :)
